I know the video's not that good, but that's more than made up for by the quality of the music.

Debs: she shaved her hair as a protest statement against feminine oppression. Believe she got fed up of being sleazed over by men for being pretty, got the chop, liked the (v different) attention she got that way, and stuck with it off-&-on for many years that way ...
