Here's the official promo video for this Pet Shop Boys-produced track:

Wiley: Wearing My Rolex

I really like this tune but think it might sound better without words...

Leona Lewis: Better in Time (Jason Nevins Mix)

Oasis: The Importance of Being Idle

This is by far my favourite Oasis track:

Lost Tribe ~ Gamemaster (Original Mix)

I purloined this tune from Crushed ...

Goa Trance

THIS ONE HAS (relatively) good music (and you'd not believe how much crap I had to wade through to find it...)

When I was on this "vibe" I literally felt trance-energy welling through the pavements.

So imagine how surprised I was, feeling the vibe was dead (to me) to find footage of parties like this from just 2 years ago.

Some of this looks suspiciously more like Thailand than Goa, and one of the parties is patently on African soil!

This is one vibed-up party. Japanese girls on Eeeeeeeeee were the very best...

Peter Kay ft Ken & Deidre etc etc: Amarillo

THIS WERE ONE O'T BIGGEST HITS O'T 21ST CENTURI. I saw't documentary onnit yesterdi naarght and bloodi Northern Accent went raaght insaad mi hed agairn. This is track wot put bloodi parrot parroting inside me head again!

Queen: Days of Our Lives

THIS is such a shame: one of their best songs, yet already we see poor emaciated Freddie on the way out...

Sometimes I feel this one tells the story of my own life ... (somehow..)..?...

Queen: It's a Kind of Magic

2-mins "making of" type intro followed by official promo video...

Here it is without intro:

Queen: Bohemian Rhapsody

I've been looking everywhere for this video; the official promo version (as opposed to live performance) wasn't online for ages...

Queen: I'm Going Slightly Mad

I think this proves what a charming voice Mercury had...

Freddie Mercury: Living On My Own

THIS is the version that charted here. Most of the footage comes from 1985 and his 39th birthday party, thrown in Hamburg, Germany or Ottolandia in the Netherlands, depending whom you believe...

Well it looks like one hell of a party to me:

I reckon this version's more posed, but hey you get to see more debaucherie...

Body Snatch ~ Euphony "Just 4u London"

I LOOKED EVERYWHERE for this tune and couldn't find it till this one person put it on Youtube last year. Other versions drum-n-bass-ified are never as good except for a UK-garage-efied one that's JUMPIN'

It does go off the record shot and start dancing: give it time!

John Lennon: Imagine

"Imagine no possessions... " sang John Lennon at his baby grand piano in the drawing room of his multimillion pound Berkshire country house...

John Lennon: Nobody Told Me

I like this old Lennon tune...

KLF: Last Train to Trancentral ("pure trance mix")

THE KLF: AKA "JUSTIFIED ANCIENTS OF MU MU" AKA JAMS were musician and A&R man Bill Drummond and musician and techno-genius Jimmy Cauty.

BACK IN THE DAY THE KLF were my favourite
pop spoofters. Authors of a book "how to make a million in the record industry" before they actually did so ~ they cleared £1000,000 after taxes from the sales of singles from and the 1991 album: .

Afterwards they drifted and, in the name of "art collective"-style live stunts "the K Foundation" invited the cream of the British press to witness said £1 million in cash burned ~ literally going up in smoke.

And afterwards, surprise-surprise all they could think about was what such money might have bought. Hmmmmm. How many words do you know for STUPID?

Here's the docu on the K Foundation and the "million pound fire"...

Ultravox: Dancing With Tears In My Eyes

I WANTED TO POST SOMETHING with a nuclear theme... this is one of several videos of the time (1984) that showed the supposed prequel to a nuclear attack: people running in panic, snogging, etc

I'm no nuclear expert but the video makers have confused two things: a reactor meltdown (like Tschernobyl) doesn't "explode" but releases Hiroshima amounts of radiation from the radioactive fire... a nuclear explosion comes only from a carefully constructed bomb (even then: e.g. North Korea the smallest miscalculation results in a massive drop in "yield")...

So really this is showing a pre nuclear attack scenario:

Enya Serissimo ~ only time

This I purloined from Linda's psycheheartconnections blog ...

2001 Space Odyssey: Orbital Halcyon

I always thought Halcyon was a nasty banned sleeping pill from the United States... or Halcion Days... some old novel..?

Kai Tracid: Trance and Acid

This reminds me of the sort of crap I used to listen to when I was a student..

DJ Tiesto Traffic

When I read a recent "sigh of relief" article in the paper (probably the Guardian) recently about "the end ... of tunes ... that lead in with 5 minutes of kick drum ..." I knew what they were talking about, though I haven't been out for nearly 10 years. I do have a memory and any club playing anything like this (only gets going 43 seconds into a 2mins 40 clip). ukk

Britney Spears: Everytime (Britney Suicide Version)

I WONDER WHAT POSSESSED her to make this video marking her own death?... this several years before all that drugs-and-coot-head trauma...

Don McLean: The Grave

THIS is my second-favourite Don McLean song, here montaged to WW1 footage:

Madonna ~ Justify My Love

I got it back again after a "copyright claim by WEA" yanked it off air...

Lady Gaga: Eh Eh

I THINK this is her newest one out (over here in the UK) but hey I'm no longer down with the kids, in fact I lost it years ago so who knows what's where and where/why/how it's meant to go??

Anyway: enjoy ~

Lady Gaga: Pokerface

Why oh why do the record companies have "official" versions of their vids "embedding disabled by request" ~ why? What object does that achieve? It just makes it impossible to view here unless some kindhearted soul like the one I just found posts it up independently...

Lady Gaga ft Colby O'Donis: Just Dance

I HAD TO GET IN ON THIS LADY GAGA THING SO HERE'S HER BIGGEST TUNE STATESIDE... you know they just luuurve her over here... probably because judging by her ridiculous style you might easily mistake her for British ~ ahem!!

Joe Walsh: One Day at a Time

This purloined from Texan Dave's Higher Powered blog ~ only song I've found to date (I think) about Recovery...

Don McLean: Vincent

THIS is my favourite Don McLean song. I've heard it sung by Julio Iglesias who may claim to have bedded 2000 (or is it 3000? women) yet so obviously hasn't a clue about the passions this song speaks of...
